Nokia Upcoming Android Devices To Cost As Low As $150

Nokia Upcoming Android Devices To Cost As Low As $150:- Pretty much everyone is familiar with the Nokia brand, as this company was the number one cellphone manufacturer back in the day. After a number of poor business decisions, Nokia basically crashed and burned, and was forced to sell their Devices and Services business to Microsoft. Well, HMD Global decided to take Nokia away (license the brand) from Microsoft for the next 10 years, as they’re planning to release Nokia-branded smartphone which will ship with Android out of the box. The company had already confirmed their plans, and the first smartphones will start coming next year.

That being said, it seems like Nokia will focus on affordable devices, which is something HMD Global also confirmed, in a way. They will release mid-range smartphones which will be focused on user experience, and judging by all the info we have thus far, those smartphones will rely more on Google than on creating their very own ecosystem within Android, which are great news for Android purists out there. Now, according to a new report, HMD Global will unveil first Nokia-branded smartphone(s) in February during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Nokia is expected to introduce the rumored Nokia D1C during the Mobile World Congress, and two versions of this smartphone will be available, if rumors are to be believed. The cheapest model will, allegedly, cost $150, and will ship with 2GB of RAM and a 5-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display. The more expensive variant will be available for $200, and it will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p panel, and 3GB of RAM.

If previous rumors are to be believed, the more affordable Nokia D1C variant will sport a 13-megapixel camera on the back, while the more expensive variant will come with a 16-megapixel snapper. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 SoC is expected to fuel both Nokia D1C variants, along with the Adreno 505 GPU. Both devices will ship with 16GB of internal storage, and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter, while Android 7.0 Nougat will come pre-installed on both Nokia D1C variants. That is more or less all the info we have at the moment, but we’re sure that some additional information will pop up in the following weeks.
