Police identify driver killed in early morning accident on Texas 6
College Station police have identified the driver killed early Monday in a single-vehicle accident on Texas 6 as Lori Hailey Marberry, 45.
One person was killed Monday morning in a single-vehicle wreck on Texas 6 near Rock Prairie Road.
Officials said a car entered northbound Texas 6, veered to the left and struck a concrete median before crossing the highway and striking a concrete pillar underneath the Rock Prairie Road overpass.
The driver died at the scene, police said. Witnesses said the car didn’t slow down.
The driver’s name is being withheld pending notification of family members.
The road was closed for about three hours before reopening just before 10:30 a.m.
