Please Keep France in Your Prayers
On Thursday afternoon the world got the first report of what happened in France, and we all crumbled. We had received word that a large lorry truck drove into a crowd of people at thePromenade des Anglais after a fireworks display for Bastille, injuring and killing more than 70 people. Police are calling it a terror attack as the driver drove through a mile of individuals in the crowd and had to be neutralized. After being searched, it was found that the lorry had been holding guns and grenades in the truck.
A photo soon surfaced on Twitter showing more than a dozen people laying on the street, causing many people realize the horror of what happened.
Officials have issued a warning for residents to stay indoors while an investigation takes place, they are urged to report any suspicious behavior.
People have been giving their condolences and offering to be of service to anyone who needs to contact family; many people are urged to get in contact with family if they have not done so already.
As the day grows longer, the death toll continues to rise in Nice, France.
