Ivanka Trump was spotted in Deal shopping for Succot:- Ivanka Trump, the daughter of President Donald Trump, was spotted shopping for a Lulav and Etrog set for Succot in Deal, according to a report from the Jewish Breaking News.
Pictures posted on social media show Trump exiting the Etrogim Center at 256 Norwood Ave. on Sunday. The store’s owner could not be reached Wednesday. A sign on the door said the store was closing at 2 p.m.
Succot is a Jewish autumn festival. A lulav is a closed frond of a date palm and is used along with etrog, a yellow citron, as symbolic parts of the festival.
Several customers approached the store on Wednesday but left after seeing the sign.
“She walked in and walked out. Nobody was really phased by it,” said Mo Miz, 34 of Deal, one of the customers. “What she bought I don’t know.”
Miz said he did not see Ivanka Trump but said people in town were talking about the visit. He said she was accompanied by Secret Service guards and her 4-year-old son Joseph.
Deal police officials neither confirmed or denied the report. Long Branch police and city officials neither confirmed or denied the report.
Ivanka Trump is married to Jared Kushner, whose father Charles Kushner lives on Adams Street in Long Branch. Jared Kushner is also President Donald Trump’s senior adviser in the White House.
This summer the Asbury Park Press reported in the video above that a visit from Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner was in the realm of possibilities.
Kushner’s family owns Kushner Cos. a real estate development company which along with its partners owns Pier Village at the Long Branch beachfront and Monmouth Mall in Eatontown.
Kushner Cos. has been approved to build a $283 addition to Pier Village with its partner Extell Development Co.
Kushner Cos. and its Monmouth Mall partner Rouse Properties have designs on a major transformation of the mall into a mixed-used town center.
