Ivanka shares sweet snap of her kids at White House for Fourth of July
Ivanka Trump celebrated Independence Day with her adorable three children at the White House on Tuesday by giving the youngsters ice cream before the fireworks show.
The mother-of-three shared a delightful video of her kids – five year-old Arabella, three-year-old Joseph and one-year-old Theodore – to Instagram enjoying the sweet treat.
Arabella took a moment to say ‘Happy 4th of July’ while her mother was filming the short clip, and her younger brother Joseph followed her lead by saying the same thing.
Baby Theodore, who just turned one in March, didn’t have too much to say as he was thoroughly enjoying the special treat.
The 35-year-old mother can be heard asking her children ‘if they are having fun’, to which Arabella proudly nods her head yes.
For the video’s caption, Ivanka wrote: ‘A little ice cream before the fireworks! #fourthofjuly’.
This is the first time she is celebrating the holiday at the White House as the first daughter.
Ivanka spoke earlier during a Fox News interview about her pride in Americans and her appreciation for the country.
‘I am proud on so many levels, and really traveling this country has made me even more of a proud American today than at any other point in my life,’ she said in an interview with Fox News on Tuesday. ‘You see the spirit, the tenacity. You see the sacrifice.’
‘You meet with soldiers and sailors and their families, and you think about all the things that they’re doing to ensure that the America we know remains true and can continue on,’ she added.
Her brother, Donald Trump Jr, shared a snap to his Instagram of the fireworks show that took place at the Trump National Golf Club in Westchester, New Y
For the caption, he wrote: ‘Awesome #fireworks tonight @trumpgolfwestchester with the family, friends, and our amazing membership. Only thing missing from this great annual tradition was @realdonaldtrump but he’s a bit busy these days. #independenceday #fourthofjuly #maga #trumpgolf’.
The president took to his Twitter account to share an image of the White House with red, white and blue colored lights beaming across the historic building in the evening.
He wrote: ‘#HappyIndependenceDay #USA’.
The president’s oldest daughter was not pictured earlier in the day when he and the first lady hosted military families at the White House for the summer holiday.
President Donald Trump, who wished a ‘Happy 4th to everyone’, earlier on Tuesday, tweeted that he was: ‘Getting ready to celebrate the 4th of July with a big crowd at the White House. ‘Our country will grow and prosper!’
Trump and Melania, wearing a long blue and white dress, appeared on the Truman Balcony at the White House where the 71-year-old praised the contribution of servicemen and women.
‘Each of you here today represents that rare combination of patriotism, virtue and courage,’ he told the crowd.
‘At this moment your brothers and sisters in arms are posted around the globe, fighting our enemies and standing watch to protect our nation, they are fighting for us.
‘We are thanking them, praying for them and saluting them for their selfless sacrifice.’
Trump pledged his ‘unwavering support’, promising them and their families he would ‘always have your back.’
Earlier on Tuesday, the president had been spotted at his golf club in Virginia – his 36th day at a golf course as president.
It’s also his 50th visit to a Trump-owned venue since taking office and has spent many a weekend at his Mar-a-Lago luxury resort in West Palm Beach and golf clubs in Virginia and New Jersey.
Melania also wished everyone a Happy Independence Day on Twitter, adding: ‘We are the land of the free because of the brave. Thank you to the heroes who serve!
