PEOPLE.com recently unveiled the reasons as to how Taylor Swift ruled the year without releasing a new album in 2016. Gomez’s rumored ex-best friend had her ways to earn millions without any new songs for her fans.

Swift co-wrote Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s song This Is What You Came For which became one of the best songs of 2016. She also wrote Better Man by Little Big Town. Moreover, she recently released a song she collaborated with Zayn Malik called I Don’t Wanna Live Forever.
Apart from that, BMI started an award after her name called the Taylor Swift Award. She also won the Album of the Year award from the Grammys. Then, she co-chaired the Met Gala together with Anna Wintour.
Although the I Knew You Were Trouble hitmaker seemed to be the best music artist of 2016, she might have lost a friend before the end of the year. Rumor has it that Swift and Selena Gomez’s friendship is now over. Gomez reportedly moves on in her life without her best friend henceforth.
After Gomez completed her rehabilitation program, the Hands to Myself singer is apparently ditching Swift for she thinks she is bad influence to her, as per RadarOnline. Gomez is believed to be cutting ties with people who she does not want to stay connected with anymore and that includes Swift.
“Since Selena got out of rehab, she has been cutting out all of the bad influences in her life — and that definitely included Taylor,” the source stated.
The insider also added that Gomez reportedly believes that Swift thinks she is lucky to be one of her friends. “Taylor is always trying to one-up Selena and makes it look like Selena is just lucky to be her friend. Selena is just completely over it.”
As feud rumors about the two swirl, both Swift and Gomez have remained silent. Fans of the two pop singers are hoping that everything is okay between the two.
