Maroon 5 & Kendrick Lamar Perform New Hit ‘Don’t Wanna Know’ At AMAs

I do wanna know more about Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar! The band and the rapper hit the stage together at the AMAs on Nov. 20 to close out the show with their amazing new hit.

Before dropping “Don’t Wanna Know,” it had been nearly a year since new Maroon 5 music, so it’s a good thing “Don’t Wanna Know” is a jam. The group joined together with Kendrick Lamar on stage at the AMAs. Of course, Adam Levine took center stage along with his band — Jesse Carmichael, Matt Flynn, Mickey Madden, PJ Morton and James Valentine — all on stage. That was the first time that they’d performed that song on stage!

We have to say; Behati Prinsloo had to be so proud watching Adam, who seriously looked adorable on stage, and of course, sounded so good. We have to say, with Kendrick’s rapping and Adam’s high notes, it was a new sound for both of them and sounded seriously incredible. The crowd was jamming out, too!

Maroon 5 is currently on tour, but they haven’t released a new album since 2014; in 2015 Adam did reveal in an interview he was hoping for new music soon. “[I want to] do it ourselves, really make a great record, super artistic record,” he said. Of course, he’s also a new father and has been a coach on The Voice since day one — and doesn’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon.

Kendrick on the other hand, dropped a surprise album in March called Untitled Unmastered, which of course, fans loved. After winning seven Grammy Awards, being featured on Sia’s song, and signing for the first family, it’s been a busy year for the rapper.
