Chris Brown Gushes Over Fans Of ‘All Different Races’ After AMA Win

Chris Brown came up a big winner at the 2016 AMAs Nov. 20, and while he wasn’t there to accept his award in person, he had a very special message for his fans via Instagram. We’ve got his inspiring words for the members of Team Breezy.

What a guy! Chris Brown, 27, came away a big winner at the 2016 AMAs, and he immediately took to his Instagram to thank his legion of fans. “Hey guys, Team Breezy, we did it again. I can’t thank you enough,” after his big AMAs win as Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist. “I appreciate all the support I’ve been getting from you guys. Parents, kids, all different types of races, that’s the one thing that can bring us together is music,” he told the camera with a heartfelt expression.

The awards are voted on by the fans, so he was particularly appreciative of everyone that took the time to cast a ballot in his name in the incredibly competitive category, that included The Weeknd, 26, and Bryson Tiller, 23. “I’m not trying to give you all speech, I’m just thankful and I appreciate you even one, nominating me at the AMAs, and two, for the fans getting to voice their vote. This isn’t politics, so I’m just thanking you for the music.”

Breezy wasn’t totally done with his message, though, as he had a sidebar for his fans. “In real life, us as a community, us as a human race, need to come together and support each other just like we support these awards. We need to support our elections; we need to support things that go on, that have a direct effect on us as people. So I just want to thank you all.” Wow, Chris is feeling the love after his big win! We prefer this softer side of Breezy, and it’s nice to see him be so thankful and gracious.
