OVERVIEW

Do you love working with youth? If so, we would love to have you join our team! We are Imagine Housing, a local non-profit, providing affordable housing and supportive services to low-income families on King County̢۪s Eastside. One of the services we offer at our Issaquah properties is an after-school program. The program's purpose is to provide our youth with a fun, safe, constructive and affirming environment. A typical day includes two hours of homework help/tutoring (one for elementary school students and one for middle/high school students) and an hour of activity time. As a volunteer, you will engage with youth, either by helping them complete their homework or by helping facilitate an activity. Furthermore, you will serve as a positive and caring role model in our children's lives. Residents are very appreciative of our after-school program, and you can strengthen it by helping ensure that each child receives more individualized support and attention. If you are looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity in a fun, creative, and uplifting space where kids are the focus, this is the place for you! Our program runs Mon/Tues/Thurs: 2:30 - 5:30pm and Wed: 2:00 - 5:00pm. Because we place a strong emphasis on providing our youth with consistency, we ask that all volunteers commit to serve at least two hours per week for a minimum of three months.
