OVERVIEW

The Relay For Life of King George is looking for volunteers to help us plan and implement Relay For Life 2015! We are currently looking to fill the following positions on our Event Leadership Team: Team Ambassadors (2 or more volunteers needed) - Leaders of small groups of team captains. These are the cheerleaders and mentors of our fundraising teams. They hold monthly meetings with their group and celebrate the team’s successes. Community Champions (2 or more volunteers) — People who set individual goals as to how many new teams they can recruit to sign up for Relay this year. They set their own goals so this can be as big or small of a job as they wish. A subset of this is a Youth Champion which is someone whose goal revolves around children/teens such as a football team, key club team, etc. Fundraising /Sponsorship Volunteer— Someone who can think up neat fundraising ideas (before and at Relay) and share them with teams. Also, this person would reach out to local businesses, build relationships, and talk to them about the Sponsorship opportunities that are available with the event. Online/Social Media/Marketing Volunteer— Someone who can run the Facebook page (posting fundraisers, welcoming new teams, updating from ACS Facebook) as well as keeping the website up to date and sending mass-emails on occasion using our system. Someone can also reach out to the local newspaper and get information about Relay published.
