Aikido is a Japanese martial art that is especially good for children because of it emphasizes peaceful conflict resolution. Aikido tends to make kids more calm and "centered"; they become less aggressive and have less of a need to "prove themselves" by acting out. Kids enjoy learning real a real martial art. This is not watered-down, choreographed moves. The self-confidence comes from learning real skills and overcoming challenges. We invite you to visit our dojo (school) and observe a class. It's best to call in advance, but an appointment isn't necessary.
