Genre: Dance Variety: Pole Dance Pole Dance Fitness - Level 1 for Beginners, Fort Worth Fitness for beginner pole students. This course covers basic floor-work, beginner spins, transitions, and beginner combinations. This class is developed to introduce students to the art of pole dance and gain strength and flexibility to execute moves beautifully! Note that class size is LIMITED, and while drop-ins are welcome, the only way to guarantee your spot in class is to pre-register using the monthly rate at the links below. Absolutely not! You do need to be healthy enough to exercise, and as always before beginning any fitness class you will want to consult with your doctor. But all shapes and sizes of women are welcome and encouraged to join! What if I'm uncomfortable feeling like an exotic dancer? This class is full of women just like you who want to get the extreme workout presented by pole dancing, and who maybe want to feel empowered and a bit sexy at the same time. However, there is nothing inappropriate about this class -- it is a full workout and great for upper body strength, flexibility and conditioning. And as always, like in any of our classes, if a move makes you feel uncomfortable (physically or otherwise), simply don't do it. What to wear: Please wear shorts or capri style yoga pants, tank tops or tee shirts are acceptable, just make sure tee shirts are form fitting. Socks or bare feet are recommended. Remove all rings, watches, bracelets, ankle bracelets etc prior to class. Leave them at home or store them away once in the studio. We are not responsible for lost or missing items. DO NOT WEAR BODY LOTION AT ALL!! Lotion makes the pole slippery and can result in injury
