OVERVIEW

Position Title: Baggage Handler, part-time Employer: SP+ Transportation Location: Portland International Airport Wage: $9.60 per hour Shift: Variable - Current need is afternoons, evenings, and weekends ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Responsibilities consist of transferring luggage on and off of Port of Portland shuttle buses as travelers arrive and depart international flights from Portland International Airport. Ensure international travelers walk into the terminal or onto the shuttle busses. Comply with all safety, security, quality standards and procedures by SP+ Transportation, by The Port of Portland, and by regulatory authorities. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work environment has a moderate to high noise level. The work environment is mostly outside the airport terminal and therefore the individual will be required to work in a variety of weather conditions. The individual may be required to stand and walk for 2/3 or more of the work shift and may be required to move and lift up to 75 pounds or more throughout the work shift.
