Singing teacher Lori Joachim Fredrics is an experienced instructor of voice. She has been teaching singers since 1984, maintaining a private studio as well as having been a professor of voice at William Paterson University, The University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, Kingston University of London, and Brown University. Her students have appeared on Broadway, in London's West End, in international opera companies, at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Glastonbury Festival, and include signed recording artists. The singing studio uses an integrated approach, where access to a singer's natural vocal strengths, interpretive powers and musical instincts are facilitated. Singing is taught cross-genre, and the method combines the latest scientific information about the singing process with time-tested traditional techniques. Lori Fredrics believes that a singer can only sing with proper technique while being fully committed to expressing the text. That is exciting news for actors, as you don't have to choose between being expressive and sounding good because being expressive makes you sound better! Special services include audition preparation, dramatic coaching, diction in English and foreign languages. Sessions for those with performance anxiety are available, as well as post-surgical voice rehabilitation sessions. Students of all ages and levels are welcome. Skype sessions are also available.
