Bread Of Life Ministries - Volunteer & Intern Opportunities www.mainebreadoflife.org Volunteers Needed: Whether you are looking for a one hour, one weekend, one week, or an ongoing opportunity to volunteer, we can provide it for you! Between our soup kitchen, shelter, housing units, resource center, and donation center, we can offer a variety of volunteer times and options suited to your need. Individuals, small groups, business staffs, families, youth groups, churches, local people, and people from outside the state and country continue to offer services to help the homeless and hungry. Here are some of the many opportunities that await you: Donation Center helpers, sorters, organizers, pickup & delivery Soup Kitchen helpers – especially Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Soup Kitchen cook – occasional or monthly Carpenter Helpers Office Help Secretarial Help Drivers with vehicles Coordinators for fund-raising projects Handy helpers for assisting with maintenance man Plow volunteers with trucks to plow shelter and properties Committee members for Communications Committee & Development Committee Board Opportunities – Board of Directors or Advisory Board of Community Leaders Interns Needed: College students, University students, and those wishing to have a project/learning experience can help Bread of Life in numerous ways. If you need to learn the system of working with clients, or like to do handy work, want to work on a computer project, or like to cook, we can probably find a fit for you. Formal programs offered through area schools are often part of a degree program, but informal intern programs are welcomed as well. Intern programs are offered as a learning experience and are not paid opportunities.
