Hitting & Speed Training I HAVEN'T SEEN A HITTER YET WITH GOOD MECHANICS...not any that have come to me for help, anyway...the Dad will usually say "I think he has pretty good mechanics" but then when I take a look, there is always something pretty serious going on that needs correction and/or the player, and usually the Dad as well, don't really understand some of the key components necessary to make a great hitter...and, as is always the case, they have a part of it figured out( usually a small part) but are missing a whole lot...and so will never fulfill their dream of being a great hitter... I am even amazed at hitters who have had instruction from other so-called "hitting coaches" who played here or there...here again, when I look at the hitter, he will have part of it right, but is still missing a major portion of what is necessary to be great...I know part of the reason is that not all players, who were once great, are great coaches or instructors...I see it all the time...and it's sad to see kids and players of all ages getting this kind of instruction that sets them up to fall short of their goals... THIS IS GOING TO SHOCK YOU, BUT... About 90% of Little League coaches taught your ballplayer the wrong mechanics for hitting(unless they played some serious college or pro ball and had a really good hitting instructor)...and since then your ballplayer has built up even more muscle memory with the wrong mechanics...which makes it even more unlikely that he or she will excel at hitting unless and until they get the right kind of instruction to correct the poor mechanics... DON'T let them continue down this path of continuing to burn the wrong mechanics into their muscle memory... I will show them the correct way to dramatically increase their chances of being an outstanding hitter... I'VE BEEN DOING THIS A LONG TIME...I KNOW WHAT WORKS AND WHAT DOESN'T... I know what works and what doesn't after 20 years of training athletes and having studied, analyzed and cross-referenced more than a half dozen college and pro hitting systems... I am a prior LSU baseball player...many years ago...and coached by pros...Let me teach your ballplayer how to hit to excel in high school and have a shot at playing college ball--The mechanics most hitting coaches teach are only a part of what is needed...I also teach mental strategy at the plate that can raise batting averages 100 points(most hitters have no strategy or plan when they go to the plate...so the battle is half lost)--I will also teach my secrets of power that develop considerably more power(which it seems no one else knows about)--These are all tried and proven...I do get results...
