OVERVIEW

Originally opened in 1994, the Shugotenshi Dojo (School of the Guardian Angel) continues to serve the entire state of Louisiana as an authentic source for training in the Ninpo martial arts, aka Ninjutsu, of the Takamatsuden school of Budo. Located in Port Allen, LA, our dojo has produced warriors of life as well as in the martial arts. Headed by Jason Chambers (Kancho), the Shugotenshi Dojo offers a number of martial arts programs. Beginning in 2014, the Shugotenshi Dojo became the Louisiana Shibu (branch) dojo of the Kokusai Bugei Kessha or the International Bugei Society, which focuses on the traditional bugei of the Samurai & Kogaku Ryu. We invite you to visit our Facebook page and consider enrolling in one of our outstanding programs such as Ninpo Taijutsu, Corporate Self Protection & Close Quarters Combat (CQC), Kogaku Ryu Bugei (Jujutsu & Bukijutsu), or Tactical Small Firearms Training. Note: Training at the Shugotenshi Dojo is not easy and is not for everyone. Most of our training is done outdoors and without mats or pads, as you will find in a more sport oriented school. It is for this reason that, while we are open to any and all that wish to train in these arts, our screening for new students is very strict.
