See for yourself why our classes are the talk of the town! Click Here to play video Affordable Acting Classes: 1.) Getting to the Truth The truth represents the freedom to "be" and "do." The essence of freedom allows actors to experience real moments, think instinctively, get out of their heads, live-in-the-moment, effectively utilize their imaginations, and truly commit. - Learn to dispense with gimmickry by getting to the truth; - Learn the keys to giving a convincing performance; - Learn core acting principles; - Participate in scene-study; - Learn exercises to build focus skills. Tuesdays: 7:00pm – 9:00pm Beginning November 11, 2008 Duration: 6 weeks Cost: $190.00 2.) On-Camera & On-Stage Auditioning & Monologue Class Actors' (storytellers) jobs are to truthfully communicate their stories (monologue, etc.). Like everyday job interviewing skills, auditioning skills prepare them for that all important opportunity. They must first get through the audition process before anyone will invite them to be on-stage or on-camera. Actors will train in front of the camera and on stage during their scene & monologue work. - Learn common auditioning do's & don'ts; - Learn what the auditor is seeking from you; - Learn how to prepare with sides (audition material); - Learn how to get an audition (resumes, networking, etc.); - Learn to work with critical direction. Saturdays: 10am - 12pm Beginning November 15, 2008 Duration: 6 weeks Cost: $190.00 3.) One-on-One Coaching People are different, actors are different, and consequently, storytellers are different. CFAS offers actors individual attention based on their specific acting needs and goals. Actors take part in an initial assessment of their ability and skill-set. Then the coach will provide recommendations and devise an improvement strategy based on the actors needs and goals.
