Teen Summer Camp: Mobile Movie Making with Matt Currie
When: Tuesday, July 15-Friday, July 18, 2014. 10 am-3 pm daily
Location: CPAC Gallery, 1513 Boulder Street, Denver
Cost: $225 Members; $250 Non Members + $20 materials fee.

This workshop will teach students videography skills, including the basics of video editing, within Mobile Media formats. We will have at least three sessions that explore editing sequences on computer, tablet, and/or smart phone platforms, allowing for advanced techniques such as screen capture and the utilization of various social media apps like Vine and Instagram. Students will explore and refine their own talents and interests within the mobile media sphere; during the four days they will create short films both individually and within a group. At the end of the program, we will screen the works created during the workshops, which will allow students to watch, enjoy, and analyze each others creations.Sample Day Schedule

Matthew Currie is currently a senior at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Originally from Lansing, Michigan, in 2010 Matt started his academic career here in Colorado majoring in Film Studies with a keen interest in mobile media and editing. He believes that âevery student needs a space for creativity and a space to figure everything out, my job is to facilitate that spaceâ.
Matthew has been teaching film/video privately for more than 4 years and has most recently started teaching seminars and programs with CPAC. Along with teaching for the four years Currie has been in Colorado, he has also produced more than 5 films independently and has helped on more than 10 films through out his film career. He is currently working on multiple âfood healthâ projects with The Living Green Foundation and Mountain Flower Dairy.
