Defining a Personal Vision is a workshop designed to recognize and bring out the expression and individual voice of each student. The workshop consists of four classes where the students will participate in a series of critiques and exercises, culminating in a one-day exhibition of their work at CPAC̢۪s Gallery. Each week students will receive guidance through both group discussions and one-on-one discussions with the instructor to focus on developing their own visual voice. Through portfolio review and development, class discussions, and peer encouragement, we will strive to understand what our pictures are about; how do we improve, what do the pictures mean? Over the course of four classes students will be provided with both the time and guidance that will foster a solid body of work. At the end of the workshop, the students will have been guided through producing a personal portfolio of new work and gain deeper insight into their own personal vision and expression, and will exhibit their work at the Colorado Photographic Arts Center.
Pop-up Show: Monday, November 17
