Architectural photography is exacting, detail oriented and technically quite demanding. Unlike portraiture where one can direct their subject, or still life where one can move objects, buildings are immobile, covered in reflections, wires and signs. And there is the ever-changing light to contend with. The key to solving these and other issues is finding the best time and angles to capture the building at its most attractive moment.
This course covers equipment selection and demystifies issues such as indoor architectural elements, time lapse and panoramas. Work with Christopher in downtown Denver exploring different styles of architecture along with the changing light throughout the day and its inherent effect on the architecture surrounding us.
Meets September 12th and 13th, with a critique session to be determined later.
September 12 – you’ll meet with instructor Chris James at CPAC for overview and orientation
September 13 – you’ll meet with Chris at CPAC for a full day of shooting in downtown Denver.
