He ran for re-election to the U.S. Senate in 2014. Roberts defeated challengers Greg Orman (I) and Randall Batson (L) in the general election on November 4, 2014.

Roberts previously was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1981 to 1997.

Biography

Roberts was born in 1936 in Topeka, KS. He graduated from Holton High School in 1954, and earned his bachelor's degree from Kansas State University in 1958. Roberts went on to serve as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1958-62.
