Jeanne Shaheen (Born. January 28, 1947, in St. Charles, MO) is a Democratic member of the U.S. Senate from the state of New Hampshire. She was first elected to the Senate in 2008.

In 2014, Shaheen won re-election to the U.S. Senate, representing New Hampshire. She ran unopposed for the Democratic nomination in the primary on September 9, 2014, and defeated Republican Scott Brown in the general election.

Prior to her election to the U.S. Senate, Shaheen served as the governor of New Hampshire. She also spent six years in the New Hampshire State Senate.
