Nov 11, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York) is a  Junior United  States Senator from Californianad she member of Democratic party, Boxer was first elected to the Senate in 1992. she'll not seek re-election to the Senate in 2016. On January 8, 2015, she announced her plan to retire at the end of the current term. She fixed, "I'm going to continue working on the issues that I love. I'll have more time to help other people through my PAC for Change community, I have to make sure the Senate seat stays progressive -- that is so critical -- and I want to help our Democratic candidate for president make history. But you know what? I want to come home." she recently won election in 2010
she began her political career by winning election to the U.S. House in 1982.
