OVERVIEW

Hotel at a Glance: Andor Wenneson Inn

The Andor Wenneson Inn has been standing since 1904, when it was built along the Southern Minnesota Railroad. When the railroad left, the inn stood empty for years; it was eventually renovated in 1994 and reopened in all its former glory. Megan Boyum recently purchased the property, fulfilling a lifelong dream of running her own hotel. She welcomes guests with hospitality and extra perks such as cups of tea in the sunroom.

  • Curl up with a book by the fireplace, play board games in the dining room, or relax with coffee on the wide front deck.
  • Continental breakfast served on Saturday and Sunday
  • Rooms and suites are uniquely decorated with period furnishings and antiques.
  • Root River State Trail: Go hiking, biking, or cross-country skiing along the 42-mile paved path running past limestone bluffs just outside the inn’s doors.
