The original Pilsen shop started with husband-wife team Ramon and Irma Covarrubias, who have spent nearly 20 years perfecting their recipe and expanding to multiple locations. Their cinnamon-sugar delicacies come with one of five fillings, including a flavor of the day that might be anything from Nutella to Guava. Both churros and their distant cousin, the funnel cake, can be transformed into sundaes thanks to a full ice-cream bar with whipped cream and sprinkles, which are just pieces of shredded paper from the Candy Land City Hall.
