Japan PM Abe says welcomes broad agreement on TPP trade deal

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said on Friday that he welcomed a broad agreement reached at a ministerial meeting on the TPP trade deal, a written statement by the Japanese government said.

Abe told Peru’s President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski that Japan would like to continue cooperating closely with Peru, one of the 11 remaining TPP countries, so that the pact will go into effect at an early date.
