Rooms at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center for the eclipse start at $300 per night. A round-trip flight from New York City with one stop will cost about $1,400. Flying from Los Angeles and making a connection will start at about $1,000.
And in Idaho, there are a few tents left for a luxury glamping experience in Monteview, starting at $599 per night. The campsite is 40 miles from the closest airport, so travelers should plan on renting a car. Flying in from New York City will cost at least $1,700, according to Google Flights. Travelers coming in from Los Angeles can expect to spend at least $1,800 to fly round-trip to Idaho Falls.
Travelers who are unable to get (or afford) last-minute bookings shouldn’t fret. NASA will livestream the eclipse from balloons set up along the path of totality. Or, for those who don’t mind roughing it, these 25 locations are great spots to park a car and camp out for the astronomical event.
