China tests first-ever elevated transit bus

China tests first-ever elevated transit bus: Public transit has just been taken to a whole new level… up!
China is testing out a futuristic transit bus called TEB-1 that rides above traffic.  It runs on electricity and solar power.  The elevated bus is about 70 feet long and can carry up to 300 passengers while allowing traffic to pass underneath.

tebtech, the company that designed the transit bus, says it hopes the innovative bus will alleviate heavy traffic congestion.  Commuters will have to wait to ride TEB-1, though, as the test saw the bus move just 1,000 feet at an incredibly slow pace.

Time will tell if this bus from the future will actually work, but Brazil, France, India, and Indonesia are already interested.
