World War 3 threat: Former US army chief warns better dead North Koreans than Americans
NORTH KOREA threats have left a former US army chief to issue a stern warning to the rogue state amid World War 3 fears.
North Korea has threatened the US āagain and againā according to retired United States Army lieutenant colonel, Ralph Peters.
Speaking to Fox News, Mr Peters sent a fiery warning to Kim Jong-un in a bid to protect Americans.
He said: āNorth Korea has threatened us again and again and again. It is a regime that canāt be trusted.
āThat does not mean we shouldnāt exhaust every possibility before going to war.
āBut the bottom line is this if North Korea is on the brink of having the capability to devastate American cities, better dead North Koreans than dead Americans.ā
Kim Jong-un has threatened to strike US territory with nuclear weapons as he ramps up his testing and production of an intercontinental ballistic missile arsenal.
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has promised to ātotally destroyā North Korea if the hermit nation does launch a deadly strike on the USA, or one of its allies.
The leader of the rogue state has tested several intercontinental missiles across Japan and threatened to strike the US territory of Guam ramping up World War 3 fears.
Van Hipp, former deputy assistant secretary of the US Army, praised the US President for the way he has handled the situation.
Mr Hipp said: āI think heās doing well, both from a diplomatic standpoint and a military standpoint.
āDiplomatically, heās got some wins out of the United Nations that no one thought possible, particularly with China and their banks who have a long history of laundering money for North Korea ā heās done well there.
āHeās sending strong signals from a military standpoint. Weāve got two carrier strike groups on the way to the region right now.
āAnd, heās done a good job of beefing up our missile defences and deploying extra missile interceptor capabilities for our allies in the region.ā
