Ivanka Trump to visit South Carolina on Friday
Ivanka Trump will pay a visit to South Carolina on Friday.
The eldest daughter of President Donald Trump is scheduled to appear in Greenville to promote the Republican-backed tax bill recently passed and signed into law.
Ivanka Trump, who along with her husband Jared Kushner are two of the president’s top advisers, will be joined at the event by U.S. Senator Tim Scott, according to multiple reports.
The visit will occur at 12:30 p.m. at The Westin Poinsett hotel, where fellow Republicans Ivanka Trump and Scott will meet with South Carolina women to discuss the tax bill and how it affects the child tax credit, greenvilleonline.com reported.
The “conversation with local women,” will be a small, invitation-only event, according to postandcourier.com.
Scott, the junior senator from South Carolina, and Ivanka Trump worked together during the tax reform process. They were successful in getting an increase in the child tax credit, which was doubled from $1,000 to $2,000 by the Senate.
