Paramount Taps Cameron Saunders to Oversee Europeon Distribution and Marketing
He previously supervised theatrical releases in the U.K. and Ireland for Fox.
Cameron Saunders is joining Paramount Pictures in the role of executive vp, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, supervising the distribution and marketing of all the studio’s theatrical releases in those parts of the world. Based in the studio’s London office, he will report to Mark Viane, president of international theatrical distribution, and Mary Daily, president of international theatrical marketing.
Saunders, who will take up his new post July 2, most recently served as managing director of U.K. theatrical for 20th Century Fox. The exec, who joined Fox in 2009, has been responsible for the launch of that studio’s slate in the U.K. and Irish theaters. He joined Fox from Channel 4, where he was head of marketing for E4, Film4 and More4 and helped launch the 4Music channel.
Saunders also serves as vice president of the Cinema & Television Benevolent Fund and chairman of the John Brabourne Awards, a talent development program that provides financial assistance to individuals working behind the scenes in the film and television industries.
