‘Dancing With the Stars’ Re-Creates Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone’s ‘La La Land’: Watch the Sneak Peek
It’s Dancing With the Stars, girl! The ABC competition series pays homage to Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone’s buzzy upcoming musical film, La La Land, in the Monday, November 21, episode, as seen in Us Weekly’s exclusive sneak peek.
The preview clip shows Dancing With the Stars choreographer Mandy Moore revealing what fans can expect from the night’s movie-inspired routine.
“La La Land is an old-fashioned musical set in modern-day Los Angeles,” Moore tells the camera. “It’s about loving to dream and loving to dance.”
“We’re going to get a great performance here on Dancing With the Stars tonight,” the So You Think You Can Dance alum continues. “We’re going to get people flipping from the balcony; we’re going to get a crazy L.A. party, and we’re going to get a little glimpse into this beautiful world we call La La Land.”
It’s all coming down to the wire on the show, as season 23’s four finalists — Laurie Hernandez, James Hinchcliffe, Calvin Johnson and Jana Kramer — give their final performances on the November 21 episode and learn who wins the Mirrorball Trophy during the Tuesday, November 22, finale.
Director Damien Chazelle’s La La Land has earned nearly universal praise from critics and is seen as a major Oscar contender ahead of its theatrical release on Friday, December 9.
Dancing With the Stars’ two-part season 23 finale breaths of air on ABC Monday, November 21, at 8 p.m. ET, and Tuesday, November 22, at 9 p.m. ET.
