Cory Monteith Remembered by Glee Co-Stars: Three years ago on July 13th, the world was met with the news of the passing of Cory Monteith, best known for his role as Finn Hudson on Fox’s Glee. Monteith was found dead at a hotel in Vancouver; an autopsy revealed that he had overdosed on heroin and had alcohol in his system. Back in 2011, Monteith had told Parade magazine that in an interview that at 19, he had already been to rehab. Mentioning that the “anything and everything” and was “lucky to be alive.”
Though this tragedy has stuck with many of his fans and friends over the years, the person it hurt the most was his then girlfriend and Glee costar, Lea Michele.
Back in April Lea had gotten two tattoos, one in remembrance of her grandmother and the other for Cory, nothing extraordinary but a simple ink of “#5”. It honored his Glee character, whom of which was a quarterback.
Every year Michele, his co-stars, and fans make posts to social media in honor of the man that was Cory Monteith.
