Boy George, Roseanne Barr and More Lead Tributes to Alexis Arquette : Condolences are pouring in following the death of Alexis Arquette, who passed away Sunday morning at age 47, PEOPLE has confirmed.
Arquette, born Robert Arquette, worked as an actress since age 12, earning roles in the Bride of Chucky, The Wedding Singer, Of Mice and Men and more.
Celebrities who worked with Arquette over the years are sending their remembrances.
“Alexis was a one of a kind genius, who appeared on my sitcom and on the Roseanne talk show,” Roseanne Barr tells PEOPLE. “Alexis was a brilliant and hilarious talent and will be deeply missed. My sincerest sympathy to the Arquette family and to all the fans who loved and admired Alexis.”
Barr added on Twitter: “Hail hail a vagenius has vacated this realm! RIP Alexis Arquette. this picture is backstage of my 1999 talk show.”

Boy George, whom Arquette impersonated in The Wedding Singer, tweeted out his regrets.

Arquette’s brother Richmond announced the news of her death on Facebook, adding that she was surrounded by her family, including siblings Patricia, David and Rosanna. Richmond added that Alexis passed while David Bowie’s “Starman” played.
Patricia tweeted out a video for “Starman,” with the caption, “Breaking through the veil singing StarMan”.
